What is a Fellowship Group?
These are groups of people from our congregation that get together for pure fellowship and fun. They help people find that informal support system that can become their "church within the church."

When do they meet?
Fellowship groups normally meet once a month on a Friday evening, Saturday evening, or Sunday afternoon. Shared meals such as a planned potluck, barbeque, or picnic are popula, with some kind of fun activity usually following. Other activities might include going to a play or baseball game for example.

Who are Fellowship Groups for?
Fellowship Groups are for adult couple or singles of various ages. Depending on the group and the activity is whether or not children are invited. The main criteria for membership is a willingness to make the group a priority by attending most of the time. Otherwise, groups tend to fall apart.

Who hosts the groups?
Fellowship Groups depend on members taking the initiative in hosting the groups and caring for each others' needs. Most groups have a yearly sign-up in January to set the schedule of hosts and hostesses. As a host, you are responsible for setting the format (where, when, what), inviting your group members, and making sure your plan all comes together. In other words, if you were going to have a potluck at your house, for example, it would be up to the you to let everyone know when it is, where you live, and maybe even telling them what to bring.
